Route that will lead you in the deeper and true  heart  of Puglia, in the footsteps of our saints and mystical places. It's impossile not to mention the famous Via Sacra Langobardorum (in Italian: Via Sacra dei longobardi). It  was a medieval pilgrimage route home for the faithfuls of San Michele Arcangelo, patron of the Longobarda nation, running from Mont Saint Michel in France to the sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo in Monte Sant'Angelo in the province of Foggia. The legend says that San Francesco d'Assisi travelled from the basilica of Assisi to that of Monte Sant'Angelo. In the medieval times, this road that connected many places of worship, was one of the great pilgrimage routes.
